What Runs in the Background
Closing the main dashboard should not stop the defenses you've chosen. PhantomAgent will coordinate Apple's Network Extension and other approved system components, subject to macOS permissions and system availability.
- ✓ Sleep/Wake Handling: Planned handling will pause, resume, and restore protection state through normal Mac sleep and wake cycles.
- ✓ Threat Updates: Downloads will refresh the threat intelligence stored on your Mac. This required service traffic is separate from optional product telemetry.
- ✓ Trusted Connections Between Components: The Agent, main app, and approved extensions will verify one another when they exchange messages on your Mac.
- ✓ Consistent Status: The menu bar and main dashboard will share protection state, while live protection stays with the Agent.
Protection Controls in the Menu Bar
Check status or reach a common action without opening the main app. The planned Liquid Glass menu will include a module grid you can arrange around the controls you use most.
