PhantomSecure is a product of Little Guy Dev, LLC, an independent software company building privacy-first security tools for macOS.
Security software sometimes sends files, browsing signals or diagnostics to remote services. PhantomSecure is being built to keep sensitive analysis on the Mac wherever the feature allows it.
The target design uses on-device processing for Vault encryption, network analysis and security explanations. Optional product telemetry categories will be off by default and sent only after explicit opt-in. Account, subscription, update, threat-intelligence, iCloud Keychain and support traffic are separate services and will be described clearly. The suite targets macOS 27 on Apple silicon.
PhantomSecure began with a question in 2019: how much of a Mac security product could work without sending sensitive analysis somewhere else? The idea was refined alongside Apple silicon and modern macOS security frameworks.
The product line was unified under the PhantomSecure name in February 2025: PhantomVault, PhantomProtect, PhantomWipe, PhantomWatch, PhantomGuardian and PhantomAgent in one suite. It remains in development, with no module currently available to users. PhantomSecure and the Phantom family of product names are trademarks of Little Guy Dev, LLC.
